Joy Pockets #3

A couple of weeks ago, inspired by my friend MJ, I started combining my then favorite Friday blogging ritual with Mon's Joy Pockets. I did this for two weeks and folks, I have to tell you, I just can't keep it up. I'm a rules person, you see, and I feel like I'm breaking the rules of This Moment by sharing more than one. I feel too guilty! I decided I had to choose, and I have so enjoyed ending my weeks by focusing on the things that brought me joy, so Joy Pockets it is! Maybe I'll slack off and do a single moment when I'm running short on time ;)

So without further ado: this week's Joy Pockets.

Marking two years since the day we were able to celebrate our marriage with loved ones, and celebrating a special little's half birthday on the same day.

More visitors.

Watching Annabelle meet her cousin and get a long awaited baby hug.

The feeling that we're part of a community, really.

The restoration of order - or at least as much order as we can manage in this busy house.

Discovering a fabulous new-to-me park and enjoying it with some of my favorite Guammies.

Technology, and the way it helps us stay connected with loved ones even when they're far away.

  1. Skype is the best! All of our family is out of state, so it is very important to us. Baby loves seeing his grandparents on the computer screen.

What a sweet hug in the pic!

  3. Oh goodness, now I am feeling guilty!!!!! I have gone back and forth about this too to be honest. If either Mon or Amanda were offended I think I would have stopped, as I would hate upsetting anyone. But so far, they seem okay with it :).
And happy anniversary!!! And I long for that community feel-one day soon ;).Happy weekend Melissa!xx oo

  5. I can't seem to stop adding captions and more than one pic, so I cheat on Soulemama regularly. I still WANT to post only one captionless picture, so I'm gonna keep trying! ;)

  6. Oh, goodness, don't feel guilty! I'm certain no one is offended! I don't think there's a thing wrong with doing both, which is why I followed suit ;) I'm just a stickler for my own self, but I love reading your pocketsfull of moments, so please keep writing them!
